Vent-Free Gas Logs

Clean Burning Vent-Free Gas Logs

Vent free gas logs, also called ventless or unvented gas logs, are designed to burn the fuel 99.9% completely. This means that they burn “clean”. Any combustion byproduct of  is so minute that typical air turnover in the home washes it out, although home ventilation is important with any type of gas product. You can burn this appliance in your fireplace with the damper closed and allow the heat generated to warm the room, in most cases.

In order to perform safely, building codes limit vent-free appliances to 40,000 BTUs maximum. Units are required to have an Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS) with safety pilot control, meet emissions standards, have minimal flame impingement, and meet clearance to combustible material like wood – we will be happy to explain all of this to you.

Vent-Free Gas Log Facts
